Adult Opportunities
Bible Studies

Each Sunday morning there are multiple opportunities for adults to gain new insights into the scriptures and experience spiritual growth by joining in the fellowship and discussion of a Sunday School class.

There are three classes and each offers a variety of studies (usually 4 to 6 weeks in length) throughout the year.  Adult classes are held on the third floor as listed below:

    WINGS class -- 8:00 a.m. in Room 300
        F.R.I.E.N.D.S. class -- 10:30 a.m. in Room 304
            Fishers Of Men class -- 10:30 a.m. in Room 301

NOTE:  During the summer months class times may vary, so call the church office at 696-9219 for current information.

Seasonal and short-term Bible studies are also offered throughout the year.  Examples of these studies are Advent, Lenten, or summer Bible studies.    Meeting days and times vary.

Choirs

Adults with an interest in music are encouraged to share their talents and their desire to "make a joyful noise for the Lord" by participating in one of our choirs.

Our
Chancel Choir sings regularly at the 9:15 service from Sept. - May.  Whether an alto, soprano, tenor, or bass you are invited to join in the music - from sacred to gospel to praise - and in the fellowship and fun of the choir.  Practice is held each Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Our handbell choir,
Godsbells, adds a unique musical element to the 9:15 worship service once each month from Sept. - May.  Dedicated to "ringing for God's glory" these musicians practice at 4:30 pm each Thursday and welcome anyone who can read music to come and give handbell ringing a try.  Youth and adults ring together in this choir.

Our Praise band plays/sings at our 10:45 service on the second and third Sundays of the month.  Practices are Wednesday nights at 7 in the church Sanctuary.  We sing contemporary artists such as Chris Tomlin, Hillsong,
Matt Maher and Kari Jobe to name a few.  If you play an instrument or like to sing (or both!), please come and check us out!

United Methodist Women

UMW Purpose Statement

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women
shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God
and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;
to develop a creative, supportive fellowship;
and to expand concepts of mission through participation
in the global ministries of the church.

At the core of our UMW unit is spiritual development.  Women seek to grow in faith and to understand their involvement in God's mission through prayer, Bible study, and worship.  Our Purpose challenges us to participate in the global ministries of the church. We are committed to being involved in mission work for women, children and youth.  Our Resale Shoppe, located in downtown Lowell, supports both local and world missions.

Women of all ages are invited to join one of our three UMW circles.  The only requirement is a desire to join and a willingness to abide by the Purpose.  Our circles meet monthly as listed below:

Alpha-Barbara May Circle:  First Friday at 1:00 pm (except Jan. & Feb.)
Naomi Circle:  Second Thursday at 7:00 pm (except Jan. & Aug.)
Susanna Wesley Circle:  Second Monday at 7:00 pm (except July & Aug.)
